The Wunderwall is a collaborative project between Gallery Sofie Van de Velde and PLUS-ONE Gallery. PLUS-ONE Gallery and Gallery Sofie Van de Velde not only share a space, but also a philosophy: they wish to make the artworld more transparent by lowering the threshold. During exhibitions, the central wall in the shared reception area is reserved for artists who are not (yet) represented by a gallery. The wall has its own identity and shows the work of one artist or artist’s duo. the project resumes itself with every new exhibition in both galleries. This way, we can assist emerging artists by showing their work to a large commercial audience, while being able to present smaller works in the gallery.
